Exhibition Preview: Jam Tomorow

Jam Tomorrow, an exhibition challenging visions of the future in an age of austerity, opens at Deptford’s APT Gallery on 9 March, bringing together six unique London artists for the first time.

Using mixed-media collage, sculpture and painting, the three-week show reworks traditional art forms, attempting to find a new vision of the future. This includes taking old family photos and repainting in a modern form with the benefit of hindsight, and alienating the mass produced from its original purpose.

The six artists, Kathryn Place, Paul Snowdon, Deepa Chudasama, Clive Brandon, Gemma Cossey and Matthew Evans , are linked through abstract modernism and time, with a vision to radically reinvent the ideals which pushed forward art….originally published Londonist, March 6, 2012
